Cub Scout Uniform: Cub Scouts buy their own uniform, including council patch and pack numerals. The Pack provides
badges and awards. Tiger Cubs, Wolf, and Bear scouts use the blue Cub Scout uniform. Webelos can choose either to wear the
blue Cub Scout uniform or the tan Boy Scout uniform shirt. Uniforms can be bought at the Scout Store. Our Pack sponsors a small
exchange for “used" uniforms, which are provided at no cost. The exchange also accepts donations of adult leader and cub scout
uniforms that you have outgrown.
Cub Scout Membership: Cub Scouting members join a Cub Scout pack and are assigned to a den, usually a
neighborhood group of six to eight boys. Tiger Cubs (first-graders), Wolf Cub Scouts (second-graders), Bear Cub Scouts
(third-graders), and Webelos Scouts (fourth- and fifth-graders) meet weekly. Once a month, all of the dens and family members
gather for a pack meeting under the direction of a Cubmaster and pack committee. The committee includes parents of boys in the
pack and members of the chartered organization.
How do I join? Official Boy Scouts of America application -- must be filled out to join a pack. Please E-mail us for a copy
of the application.
Family Participation: YOU! Thousands of volunteer leaders, both men and women, are involved in the Cub Scout
program. They serve in a variety of positions, as everything from unit leaders to pack committee chairmen, committee members,
den leaders, and chartered organization representatives.
Dues and Fundraisers: 2006-2007 annual dues for Pack 256 is the following:
--Returning Scout $40 w/o Boy's Life or $52 w/ Boys Life subscription.
--If a scout hasn't previously ordered a Boys' Life subscription, but would like to begin receiving it add $6.00 to the $52.00 fee for a total of $58.00.
